  inclusive workspaces.\n \nLeaders play a critical role in fostering inclu
 sive and respective workplaces that empower team members to thrive and imp
 rove organizational outcomes. This half-day interactive discussion and wor
 kshop will provide non-profit leaders\, managers\, and team supervisors wi
 th the tools to navigate the key components of practicing sensitivity in t
 he workplace. This workshop is ideal for nonprofit leaders\, program direc
 tors\, HR professionals\, and board members who are committed to enhancing
  their organization's workplace environment and addressing potential chall
 enges related to sensitivity and inclusion. Lunch will be served\n \n\nMee
 t the presenter!\nShardae has had the privilege of being born and raised i
 n Ogden\, Utah. Completing her education in the Ogden School system and mo
 ving on to graduate from Weber State University with a Bachelors of Integr
 ated Studies Degree with an emphasis in HealthCare Administration\, Crimin
 al Justice and Communications. During her formative years she understood t
 he importance of serving her community and has continued to do so by spend
 ing her spare time volunteering for local nonprofit organizations\, servin
 g on the Ogden City Diversity Commission\, and representing as a member of
  the Executive team of the local NAACP Ogden Branch and various other comm
 unity affiliations. Shardae believes that representation\, education and r
 espect are imperative to the success of her community. Shardae has several
  years of experience working within the healthcare system including workin
 g as a Community Health worker where she saw first-hand disparities that e
 xisted for people of color and low income individuals. She now works in pr
 evention as a Coalition Coordinator addressing the issues of substance mis
 use among youth in the Weber County area. Her professional and volunteer b
 ackground coupled with her lived experience growing up as a Black woman na
 vigating predominately white spaces led her to complete her certification 
 in DEI from Cornell University to further address the importance of divers
 ity to ensure people no matter their status in society understand the impa
 cts of understanding our own biases and helping others to gain the tools t
 o identify their own bias to make the community she lives in one where eve
 ryone has an opportunity to succeed.
