 aught by Rene Venegas\, a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one 
 of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor\, Felipe V
 enegas\, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Rep
 ublic and stamped the first European coins in the New World.  He has been 
 teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. I
 n addition\, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner\, The Signpost\
 , KUTV Inside the Story\,  FOX13 Good Morning Utah\, The Salt Project and
