  taught at The Local Artisan Collective located in downtown Ogden\, just a

 ught by Rene Venegas\, a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one o
 f the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor\, Felipe Ve
 negas\, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Repu
 blic and stamped the first European coins in the New World.  He has been t
 eaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In
  addition\, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner\, The Signpost\,
  KUTV Inside the Story\,  FOX13 Good Morning Utah\, The Salt Project and K
 TVX Good Things Utah.
