  Venegas\, a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first 
 to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor\, Felipe Venegas\, was 
 the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and sta
 mped the first European coins in the New World.  He has been making jewelr
 y since he was a child in his father’s silver shop in Bogota\, Colombia an
 d has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 
 15 years. In addition\, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner\, Th
 e Signpost\, KUTV Inside the Story\,  FOX13 Good Morning Utah\, The Salt P
 roject and KTVX Good Things Utah.
