  fun and exciting copper bowl making workshop.\n\nWhat:\nIn this workshop\
 , you’ll learn the basics of copper bowl making\, from shaping the metal t
 o hammering and polishing it to a shine. You’ll also have the opportunity 
 to get creative and design your own unique bowl.\n\nWe will provide all th
 e necessary supplies\, including copper sheets\, tools\, and instructions.
  No experience is necessary\, so everyone is welcome.\n\nHere’s what to ex
 pect:\n\nWe’ll start using hammers and shaping tools to create your bowl.
 \nOnce your bowl is shaped\, we’ll use sandpaper to smooth out any rough e
 dges.\nThen we will solder a copper base and handles that you create.\nFin
 ally\, we’ll polish your bowl to a beautiful shine.\nBy the end of the wor
 kshop\, you’ll have a beautiful and functional copper bowl that you can us
 e hold jewlery\, keys\, or simply display as a work of art.\n\nCost:\n$55 
 per person which includes everything you will need for the class\n\nAges:
 \n16+. Younger kids can attend if accompanied by an adult.  Please note th
 at there is a lot of hammering involved in this class and younger kids may

  at The Local Artisan Collective\, located at 2371 Kiesel Ave in down town

  The Instructor:\nThis class will be taught by Rene Venegas\, a 16th gener
 ation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to
  the Americas. His ancestor\, Felipe Venegas\, was the silversmith for the
  early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European
  coins in the New World.  He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing 
 classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition\, he has been featured in
  The Standard Examiner\, The Signpost\, KUTV Inside the Story\,  FOX13 Goo
 d Morning Utah\, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah.
