What are Community Schools?
A community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources to promote improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities.
At our local Community Schools, our AmeriCorps Community School Coordinators create an environment that cares for the whole child. They work to expand the horizons of learning, build relationships with families, and partner with school staff and community organizations to create conditions that students can thrive in.
