Community Impact Partnership Director - Ogden United Promise Neighborhood

Reports to: President & CEO

The Director will fill the critical role of guiding the Ogden United Promise Neighborhood initiative to generate increasingly meaningful results for children and families in Ogden. The Director will provide leadership at United Way, guiding both the Ogden United PN partners and the Ogden United PN team.

About Ogden United Promise Neighborhood (Ogden United PN):
The goal of Ogden United PN is to ensure all children and youth have access to great schools and strong systems of family and community support that will prepare them to attain an excellent education and successfully transition to college and career. Ogden United PN uses the “Collective Impact“ framework to work with a wide range of community stakeholders (non-profit, public, and private entities). In order to achieve community level change strong partnerships at the school and the community level need to exist (as well as at the regional and state level). This means developing strong relationships of trust with stakeholders; maintaining continuous communication; focusing on specific shared goals and a common agenda; using and sharing data to target resources and engage in continuous improvement processes; and aligning resources, programs, and policies into mutually-reinforcing strategies and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
*Advisory Board - Oversee the work of “Ogden United for Education” OUPN’s leadership Advisory Board which is currently co-chaired by a State Senator and the School District Superintendent.
*Early Childhood (Prenatal- Age 3, Age 3-8) – Oversee the work of Partnership Coordinator, early childhood coalitions, contracted services, and strategic partnership.
*Kindergarten – 12th grade - Work with Ogden City School District (OCSD) and community partners to to provide comprehensive supports and expanded learning opportunities to drive student success.
*College to Career – Expand partnerships to further develop pathways for youth to succeed in College and Career.
*Partners – Oversee partner relationships, trainings, and strategic planning to achieve results.
Sustainment – work to sustain current efforts and identify opportunities to scale up.

Direct Reports:
*Partnership Coordinator - Prenatal to Age 8 (1fte)
*Family & Youth Specialist/Community School Coordinators (6fte) – the 6 school based coordinators are jointly supervised by an Ogden School District Administrator.
*Grant Budget Manager (.2fte)

Grant Management (partner coordination, budgeting, reporting)
*Manage Ogden High School SB67 - Partnership for Student Success grant
*MOU’s (15 orgs), purchase of service agreements/sub-contracts (6 orgs).
*Manage Ben Lomond SB67 - Partnership for Student Success grant
*MOU’s (12 orgs), purchase of service agreements/sub-contracts (4 orgs).
*Responsible for reporting to Private Foundation supporters and driving desired results.

Staff Development and Supervision:
*Build a cohesive and aligned OUPN team. Provides leadership and direction for staff.
*Provides support and oversight to staff to ensure their effectiveness in carrying out duties. *Maintains and monitors staffing, expectations and motivation to fulfill organizational requirements.
*Meets individually with direct reports at least monthly regarding programs’ productivity and progress, ensuring that all staff resources are used effectively to promote an efficient service delivery system and report any problems or incidents as they arise;
*Meets with staff on a bi-annual basis/or more frequently as necessary to review performance and job descriptions (in partnership with OCSD where appropriate)
*Manage the hiring, onboarding and training of any new direct reports.

*Work with the Director of Research, Assessment and Evaluation (DAR) to develop a plan for assessment and evaluation of the different elements of the OUPN initiative. Support partner agencies usage of data for continuous improvement and to impact population level outcomes.
*Work with (DAR) to develop data dashboards to show impact.
*Participate in United Way’s management team, demonstrating a commitment to building, cooperation and collaboration among managers, staff, programs and departments.
*Work collaboratively with the United Way management team to participate in the development of programs, project and agency budgets and monitor financial reports to ensure that programs are on target for meeting both program and agency fiscal goals.
*Work collaboratively with the management team to participate in the development of new projects, partnerships and directions for United Way that impact multiple areas of our work.
*Collaborate with fundraising and sustainability efforts of United Way with corporate, foundation and government representatives as well as individual donors. 

*Work collaboratively with President & CEO and with Director of Marketing and Development to create and enact a development plan for sustaining and building OUPN.
*Work collaboratively with Director of Marketing and Development for branding/marketing of OUPN.

*Work with complementary community initiatives to leverage partnerships and drive results.
*Manage time and other resources in a skilled manner.
*Able to work independently, be able to adapt to a changing environment, and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
*Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate boundaries in all interactions.
*Function with creativity, independence and initiative.

Position Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, human services or related field.
*Minimum of 6 years working in education or human services field.
*Experience in education/human services managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
*Experience with program assessment and evaluation.
*Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple institutions.
*Experience working on federally funded and/or grant funded projects.
*Detail-oriented with the ability to plan, manage and follow through on multiple projects.
*Experience supervising professional staff.
*Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs that achieve results.
*Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
*High standards of professional ethics and conduct.
*Strong public speaker; excellent written communication skills.
*Strong skills in office productivity tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration or related field.
*15+ years working in education or human services field.
*Experience as a Director or Department Head in a non-profit/LEA/public organization.
*Experience working within a Collective Impact framework
*Familiarity and history of service within the landscape of education, community development and social services networks in Ogden.
*Bi-cultural/bi-lingual English/Spanish

Wage: Competitive - based on experience and qualifications
Location: Ogden, Utah
Hours: Full-time with competitive benefits package (health, dental, and 403B match of up to 10% after one year of employment).
