When another person supports you, it can create a world of difference. Our volunteers often embody this sentiment, but it is especially apparent in the Welcome Baby program. We asked our families what their experience has been like and one participant said: “It’s (The Welcome Baby Program has) helped me build a deeper sense of patience, empathy, and confidence in my parenting, knowing that these early moments really lay the foundation for a child's emotional well-being.”

Another family said: “Feeling supported is definitely a huge change since having the ability to participate in Welcome Baby! My home visitor (Kelly) is absolutely amazing, understanding, and patient. I truly feel cared for, my questions are answered, and I feel more than confident in my parenting skills Welcome Baby has provided to me.”

This impact would not happen if it wasn’t for our volunteers that commit their time to doing in-home visitation and ensuring their assigned families have the proper support they need. As always though it takes a village and the other members of that village are our generous community. Your donations help progress this work and create positive change. We are hosting a baby shower to help bring in much needed items for our Welcome Baby families and have a list of their wishes below. Together we can help support these new parents because when parents thrive children flourish.
