Project Blueprint (Logan) - Board Governance Program | Register
United Way Northern Utah Nonprofit Connection offers a popular, high-quality training program for those who work with or on a nonprofit board of directors. Participants gain knowledge, skills and abilities in topics such as business planning, nonprofit finance/accounting, fundraising and diversified funding plan, board governance, committees, compliance, etc. Visit our Project Blueprint page for more information.

We are offering a Logan program for the first time.

Cost: *$185 - Dinner is Included in each class.
Dates/Time: February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, 4-7 pm each class.

Webinar: Grant Funding: Mastering the End-to-End ProcessRegister
This interactive training, taught by professional grant writer JaNeise Jensen, will guide you through the crucial steps of grant funding including donor research, relationship building, proposal writing, effective post-award management/reporting, and final grant closeout.

211 Day Information Sessions | Logan   Ogden
211 Utah is a free, confidential service that connects people to local help—food, housing, utilities, mental health care, childcare, and more—24/7 by phone or online. 211 makes it easier to find support without guessing who to call. United Way Northern Utah will host 211 information meetings in Ogden and Logan on February 11. More information is coming.

Nonprofit Tour (Logan) - WAB Warming CenterRegister
United Way of Northern Utah Nonprofit Connection invites community partners to join us for a tour of the WAB Warming Center. This vital nonprofit provides a safe, warm, and compassionate space for individuals experiencing homelessness during Northern Utah’s coldest months — offering not just shelter, but dignity and hope. All Northern Utah community partners are welcome to attend.

Nonprofit Tour (Ogden) - Youth Futures | Register
United Way Northern Utah Nonprofit Connection invites community partners to join us for a tour of Youth Futures, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how one organization delivers critical services to vulnerable youth. This on-site visit will highlight programs, partnerships, and operational practices, with time for discussion and peer learning. It’s a practical opportunity to see a nonprofit in action, ask real questions, and walk away with ideas you can apply to your own organization.

Webinar: Preparing for Audit of a NonprofitRegister
United Way of Northern Utah’s Nonprofit Connection is facilitating an interactive training led by Sarah Manning, Controller for United Way Northern Utah. This webinar will walk you through how to prepare your organization for audit by an external agency. Sarah will outline what auditors look for, how to prepare a team and documentation, and what to expect throughout the process and aftermath. Not to be missed!

United Way of Northern Utah’s Nonprofit Connection is hosting an interactive training led by Hoan Marketing, a professional marketing firm specializing in nonprofit and event strategy. Nonprofits will learn practical, budget-friendly marketing tactics so they can build a promotional plan for their next fundraising event.

Bear River Nonprofit Miniconference (Logan) | Register
United Way Northern Utah’s Nonprofit Connection will host the Bear River Nonprofit Miniconference on April 29, 2026, in Logan—a focused, half-day event for nonprofit leaders, staff, board members and stakeholders Cache, Rich and Box Elder counties. The event includes networking, a moderated panel on Caring for the Caregivers, and concurrent breakout sessions in leadership, fundraising, and volunteer management, all designed to deliver practical insights nonprofits can apply immediately.

Webinar: Human Resources for NonprofitsRegister
United Way of Northern Utah’s Nonprofit Connection is hosting an interactive training that introduces core HR concepts tailored for nonprofit environments, including staffing fundamentals, compliance considerations, policy manuals, and day-to-day personnel practices. Participants will gain an understanding of key HR functions that support a healthy, well-run organization. Facilitated by Maddy Robles, Director of Human Resources for United Way Northern Utah.
