Copper Ornament Class, Fri Dec 5, 6:00pm–9pm (taught by Rene Venegas in Classroom A, $14)
You’re invited to join with our annual tradition of making copper ornaments.
What
We’ll be using simple tools and techniques to create beautiful and unique ornaments that you can cherish throughout your life. This class is family friendly for all ages.
No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Just bring your imagination and your willingness to have some fun!

Extra ornaments can be made during class for $9/each.
Drop ins welcome, though we highly recommend signing up before hand to secure your spot.

Open to all family members. Children under 10 will need help from an adult.

Class will be held at The Local Artisan Collective located in downtown Ogden at 2371 Kiesel Ave, Ogden.
About the instructor:
Rene Venegas is a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World. He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner, The Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story, FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah.
