Meet the presenters!
Cassandra Backman is an evaluator with a background in informal education and STEM. She currently works as the Community Research and Evaluation Supervisor at the Office of Community Research and Evaluation. Her focus is on program evaluation using a mix-methods approach. Her passion is to increase the accessibility of evaluation through participatory methods and innovative data visualization techniques. She has worked on evaluations with community partners in the local K-12 systems, in non-profits, and in state government agencies.
Xiomara Mayorga is an Evaluator and Community Research Analyst at Weber State University. Throughout her career, she gained valuable experience designing strategies and co-create projects aimed at improving living conditions for underrepresented populations. Her background includes significant roles with United Nations agencies and higher education institutions, where she focused on researching, monitoring, and evaluating programs with mix-methods approach.
