Summary: The Weber CTC Assistant Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Weber Communities That Care (CTC) coalition, an established community prevention coalition that operates in partnership with United Way of Northern Utah as a department within the Community Resources Team. The Assistant Coordinator works alongside the Coordinator to support and empower community stakeholders to lead the implementation of the Communities That Care (CTC) prevention framework, guiding coalition efforts to identify local needs, implement evidence-based strategies, and achieve measurable outcomes for youth and families.
Working in close partnership with the Weber CTC Coordinator, this position provides administrative support, data management, volunteer engagement, and community outreach support to advance coalition goals and initiatives throughout the Weber High School cone and surrounding communities (the cities of North Ogden, Pleasant View, Harrisville, and Ogden Valley). The Assistant Coordinator helps ensure meetings, reporting, communications, and community activities are organized and executed effectively while building positive relationships with volunteers, community partners, youth, schools, and other stakeholders.

Compensation:
Wage: $19-$23 hourly
Benefits: A comprehensive benefits plan includes vacation, sick, and holiday paid leave; supplemental insurance options;,and an organization-matched 403(b) plan of up to 10% after one year of employment.
Hours: Part-time (20-29 hours per week). Hourly, Nonexempt.
Working hours in this position can vary greatly week to week depending on community events, travel, and other commitments in the role. UWNU hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm MST, which will determine some of the required hours for this position.
Location: Hybrid - 50/50 (50% of time spent working remotely and 50% of time spent in the Weber County area for in-person meetings and events with occasional in and out-of-state travel) .
This position must be available for some travel (regionally and nationally) and flexible for occasional night and weekend commitments, including meetings and events. The position will require short-distance travel by car and occasional long-distance travel by car, van, or airplane. Long-distance travel may include being in or out of state for a week multiple times a year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks for the Coalition Workgroups, Committees, and Boards, to ensure materials are ready for meetings. This may include one or more of the following:
- Coordinate, schedule, help with logistical arrangements, and follow up on assignments for/from meetings, training events, etc.
- Send reminders and agendas for meetings to applicable members.
- Track attendance, take minutes, transcribe, and disseminate minutes for all Weber CTC meetings as deemed necessary by the chair/workgroup chairs.
- Compile and keep member rosters updated with current information on all coalition members.
- Collect and tabulate Weber CTC member volunteer hours, track donations, and provide updates to the Weber CTC Coordinator and coalition leadership as requested.
- Enter and track all data necessary for reports. Ensure all data is submitted on time and ready for use on grant reporting, progress reporting, area plans, and outcome tracking.
- In collaboration with the Weber CTC Coordinator, draft and complete grant reports, ensuring funder reporting requirements and deadlines are met, and objectives set forth in grant applications are addressed.
- Provide support to the Coordinator on budget development and management.
- Partner with community leaders, volunteers, and stakeholders to facilitate and oversee the local implementation of the Communities That Care (CTC) process, ensuring the community remains at the center of planning, decision-making, and action.
- Collaboratively serves as a front-line representative for the Weber CTC coalition with the Coordinator to build engaged and working relationships with community leaders, agencies, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Travel throughout the designated Weber cone area is a requirement of the job. This duty may include:
- Meeting with local officials, school district leaders, and others to promote community-wide buy-in for the CTC program or strategies
- Coordinating public and other group presentations
- Tabling at community events
- Facilitating the preparation and release of survey information to the community
- Coordinating IT setup for meetings
- Providing training and presentations to the coalition and community members
- Recruit, retain, and work with volunteer coalition members
- Oversee community volunteer coordination and communications
- In collaboration with the Youth Involvement Workgroup Chair, lead and train Weber CTC Youth Council members in accomplishing coalition objectives.
- Work with the Coordinator and coalition to develop short and long-term goals for the Weber CTC program and ensure that the goals of the Coalition’s action plan are achieved.
- Communicate with stakeholders including answering calls, emails, social media, and website messages.
- Assist volunteers in meeting and event preparations and setup.
- Work with a diverse group of stakeholders, from youth to administration to elected officials.
- Attend training in identified prevention and community coalition subjects and programs focused on substance use and suicide prevention.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field (examples include public administration, public health, communication, human services, social work) OR equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- 1+ year of experience in Project Management and/or Volunteer/Event Coordination
- Prior experience utilizing the Microsoft and Google workspace applications
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, and adjust as required by changing activities and events, and travel to work in a variety of locations throughout the Weber Cone and Weber County.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and daily access to a reliable vehicle.
- Will be required to work longer or irregular work hours seasonally, including holding meetings in the evening, or overnight travel for activities or training/conferences.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to assist with setting up for events and activities. Must be able to perform strenuous activities that require strength, stamina, and overall good health. May be required to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to travel locally and occasionally overnight and provide appropriate supervision and support for youth coalition members during coalition activities, events, trainings, and conferences.
- Must be able to pass a background check due to working with the Weber CTC Youth Council.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some work or volunteer experience in prevention, social work, public health, especially in the areas of community coalition work.
- Some work experience in the nonprofit industry.
- Familiarity and history of service within the landscape of education, community development, and social services networks in the Weber Cone.
