UWNU coordinated a family literacy class, hosted by Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP). The class worked with immigrant families enrolled in the Weber Adult Education Program and learning the English language.

Lynn attended the 6-week family literacy class with her sons, Robert and Mateo. They worked together to build English literacy skills.

Lynn is so grateful for the program and how the mutual learning strengthened her family’s bonds. Reading English books with and to her sons not only grew her English language skills, but also prepared Robert to enter first grade at the same reading level as his peers.
