OGDEN, UTAH, September 6, 2024 – United Way of Cache Valley (UWCV) and United Way of Northern Utah (UWNU) are thrilled to announce their official integration, marking a significant milestone in their shared mission to enhance community impact across Northern Utah. This integration combines the strengths, resources, and expertise of both organizations to better serve individuals and families in need, ensuring a stronger, more unified effort in addressing the critical challenges facing our communities.
Operating under the name United Way of Northern Utah, these organizations will leverage the combined knowledge to address the unique needs of the communities across Box Elder, Cache, Morgan, Rich, and Weber Counties. “We are excited to have Jimmy Birman, who has been with UWCV for many years, continue leading United Way efforts in the Bear River area,” said Julie Johnson, CEO of United Way of Northern Utah.
This transition represents a powerful statement about unity and shared vision. Alex Dark, former Board Chair of United Way of Cache Valley, emphasized, “United Way has always been about bringing people together to solve our communities' most pressing issues. This integration is about coming together to achieve a shared vision of a thriving, resilient community.”
As United Way of Northern Utah embarks on this new chapter, the organization is deeply committed to maintaining transparency and fostering collaboration throughout the transition. A comprehensive community assessment will be conducted to engage stakeholders and incorporate the voices of those who rely on United Way services.
