Jewelry Summer Camp
Join us for a great day camp for kids and teenagers to make their own jewelry.
What:
Students will make: copper dog tag/pendant and a copper ring. Students will be able to stamp words, dates or symbols on their jewelry. For students that have taken his class before, different projects will be given to them.
Price:
$29 for the camp. Cost includes all materials.
Scholarships are available, please inquire.
Ages:
For ages 8-18.
When:
Session 1: Tuesday, June 2
Session 2: Thursday, June 18
Session 4: Monday, June 29
All session are from 10:00-11:30am.
Where:
Classes are held at The Local Artisan Collective at 2371 Kiesel Ave, in down town Ogden, just a little south of the Megaplex
How To Register And Cancelation Policy:
You can register for the class at our shop or online below. A full refund, minus a $5 cancellation fee will be given for cancellations more than 7 days before the class. No refunds for canceling less than 7 days before the class begins.
If you are using a cell phone and are having trouble registering, turn it in its side. PCs or Laptops seem to work best.

About the Instructor:
This class will be taught by Rene Venegas, a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World. He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner, The Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story, FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah. Most recently, he was Ogden City’s Mayor’s Art Award for Folk Art.
