Alex was entering third grade when his family struggled to afford school supplies. His family heard of a community wide event where United Way was distributing school supplies donated by the community. When Alex and his family arrived, Alex was handed a backpack full with the necessary school supplies. With excitement in his eyes, he quietly asked, “Is this for me?”.
Alex started school filled with opportunity and excitement to succeed.
